Announcing “Save Our NOLA Neighborhood Restaurants and Bars”

A Program Offering Complimentary Advertising for Hospitality Businesses

The global pandemic has impacted communities everywhere, including small business owners in south Louisiana. While COVID-19 has caused a roller coaster of closures and restrictions for hospitality businesses, hope is in the air, literally. The Louisiana Hospitality Foundation and the “Winning at Life® with Gregory Ricks” show have joined together to provide complimentary advertising to help save neighborhood restaurants and bars.

The Save Our NOLA Neighborhood Restaurants and Bars program will benefit thirty-two (32) local hospitality businesses, who will receive a package of complimentary radio and digital advertising to help promote their business to the community they serve. Each week from April 12 – July 31, 2021, there will be a “Restaurant of the Week” and a “Bar of the Week” that will each receive $600 of free advertising for their businesses, which includes radio commercials during the “Winning at Life® with Gregory Ricks” show. The program will provide a total of $19,200 in free advertising to local hospitality business owners.

“So many local hospitality businesses have no choice but to find ways to fight back from the negative impacts of safety restrictions and closures,” said Jennifer Kelley, executive director of Louisiana Hospitality Foundation. “Most local bars and restaurants just don’t have resources to survive without additional help. This program is a way to lift them up with no expense, no strings attached – just a true opportunity to promote their business to locals. It’s a win-win!”

Gregory Ricks said, “Local restaurants and bars are the backdrop of some of the most defining moments in our lives, and in the last year, the COVID-19 pandemic has stolen that from us. NOLA area restaurants and bars are struggling, and The Winning at Life Show is able to offer a special kind of relief. Our goal is to leverage what the show has – local listeners – to help lift up these businesses.”

Applications are being accepted now through 5:00pm on Friday, April 2, 2021 online at A program committee will choose sixteen (16) bars and sixteen (16) restaurants to benefit from this exclusive program. Notifications will be sent out to all applicants the week of April 5, 2021.
